Jo’s Little Women’s Club at Quiltmakers Cottage
We are very excited to be able to offer this wonderful six-month program. We were encouraged by our employees and customers to carry reproduction fabrics in the shop. We decided to give it a try and your response has been fantastic! Jo Morton is one of the most popular reproduction fabric designers in the quilting industry. Jo uses antique quilts for inspiration and interprets both fabric and patterns for today's quilters. She has developed the Little Women's Club using her patterns and fabrics. Suzy has completed the 3 club quilts and they are on display at the shop.
Each month you will receive a fabric packet and instruction on completing the quilts. Suzy will be your hostess for the monthly meetings. She will share her enthusiasm for quilting history and reproduction fabrics as well as special instructions, helpful hints, fun, and friendship. The meetings offer a great opportunity to get to know other quilters and share your love of the reproduction style.
The registration fee is $15.00. The monthly fee of $28.00 provides Jo Morton fabrics and patterns to complete the 3 reproduction quilt projects - backings and bindings are included. The first quilt begins with and appliqued center block. There will be an optional Applique Class on Wednesday, March 10, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm for Club members. The fee for the class is $15.oo and pre-registration is necessary.
